The school felt empty
And I learned a lot about some of the people in my life
And now I'm finally on holidays for two weeks
SOME WRITING FEATURES:
lost souls?lost souls?
ghost sits cross-legged on the floor, back against the
front door and dreaming. thinks somehow he is missing
miles and miles of tortured roadsides where once, a boy
sold roses right next to the gravestones housing his
witch mother and her mother and all the mothers of
centuries. the women who saw the future in young
boys sleeping on kitchen floors and willow trees
weeping loud for their empty souls and herbal tea
leaves in the bottom of their cracked porcelain cups.
and the banging on the splintered wood recedes,
screen door swinging as the shade moves away to
haunt some other poor child with flickering images
of death and hunger and all their wicked friends.
a piano plays.
tonight, two more will die in new orleans.
on ghost's ceiling, there are stars. they glow against
the dark pressing through the open windows and the
body lying warm beside him. he knows, he knows that
words written on skin will bleed too, and so continues
telling his best friend's ribs
Follow Me Into The DarkDon't be afraid:thumb125852561:
For though we are alone here
I'm forever by your side
I do apologize dear
By no means did I intend to drag you here
The darkness is no place for an angel
No place at all
You deserve to be in the light
In your efforts to save me
Save a heartless shadow like me
You have fallen into this dark abyss
An angel I hold in my arms
Wings broken and torn
Tears I cry for you
These tears I have never cried before
Blood lays all around me
Even in the darkness I can see it
See your agony
Holding your hand tightly
I lead you through my world
Though you see nothing
I can hear your heart pounding
The darkness is taking it's toll
Picking up the pace
You tend to fall behind
Even if you trip and fall
I'll catch you every time
Coming to the end of this tunnel
I stop dead in my tracks
This is far as I go
But you don't let go of my hand
Looking at you confused
You give me that smile of yours
And even with all my effort
I smile right back
Knowing you aren't leaving
It makes my heart skip a beat
alchemy(this is how our story went.)
we were bound together in an immaculate machine. i was the prologue and you were the last chapter of the book we wrote inside the corners of abandoned warehouses smoldering with decayed lives and other debris. the liquid sun melted our favorite sidewalk into nothing but invisible footprints and imaginary memories as we dreamed of snow in california - of aging wine bottles - of homeless men who played violins - of blind chemists and illiterate mathematicians.
practice makes failure
we spent our youth on country highways. backseat sweethearts, vagabond shadows, drowning in headlights, in the utter emptiness of desert night. sometimes we heard a faint breeze, or a snake crawling on its leather stomach. sometimes i heard you whispering to ghosts in your sleep. sometimes i thought about kissing your twig lips. sometimes, sometimes, some -
they say satan's voice
is as soft as
there was alchemy between us, hidde
Passenger SeatThe air conditioner breathed, sending faint shivers across her spine. She was cold, but could not bring herself to shift the direction of the breeze away from her bare legs. She gazed across the car she was in intensely, trying to remember every detail of the vehicle (and her night).
So where are we going? his voice sliced through the slightly awkward silence and sent her senses alert. She jolted towards her handbag and lifted the portable navigator she had brought with her.
Ill type in the address of the venue in here, and we can just follow the directions. she said rather casually, as she spread her fingerprints across the touch screen. He replied with a smile and focused on his driving.
His right foot rammed the pedal, and the car roared. The sound of the engines laughter sent her heart in a race, and she felt an adrenaline rush circulate through her for no profound reason.
Her lower back sank into the passenger seat and she tried to relax, as if
